Submersible Supercarrier

An unconfirmed design for a Submersible Supercarrier was leaked from Halon corporate offices in September, 2037. It is suspected that the leak was a case of corporate espionage perpetrated against Halon by a corporation or corporations of European origin, though the identities of any such offenders are as yet undetermined. The leaked plans were for a class of vessels called HL-39, and indicated the production of five such warships over a ten year period. As the name implies, these vessels are apparently equipped with submarine technology and, upon surfacing, can launch VTOL aircraft. Additionally, the vessel is capable of deploying amphibious submersibles that are housed along its lower hull. The controversy that caused this leak to be news, though, was the apparent inclusion of a nuclear payload in the vessels' design. All international corporate alliances have forbidden the production or use of nuclear arms for over two decades, and any such move would be seen as a breach of international corporate agreements. Halon has not spoken on the validity of the leaked plans at all, and has denied engaging in the production of nuclear weaponry.
