INVOLUNTARY RADICAL SPATIAL COMPRESSION (IRSC)

Involuntary Radical Spatial Compression (RSC) is a rare but naturally occurring spatial anomaly that reduces the physical size of objects by compressing the distance between the subatomic components of its constituent atoms. The rate of compression may vary. One documented case of RSC involved the reduction of an individual to 1% of original size over a nine month period. Reversal of involuntary compression is possible but dependent on the origin or stimulus and rate of compression.

PHASE TRANSITIVE STATE (PTS)

Phase Transitive State (PTS) or “phase shifting” involves the desynchronization of matter from local spacetime. Arrested PTS, the most common form, occurs when matter shifts to a static but desynchronized phase. Chronic PTS is a usually random state of fluctuating and uncontrollable phase transition. Rare individuals are able to alter and maintain their transitive state at will. Physical effects such as visibility and survivability depend on the percentage of deviation from normal spacetime. Phase-transitive individuals who are still capable of normal respiration may survive but will eventually require food and water.

TEMPORAL CAUSALITY LOOPS

A temporal causality loop is a dislocation in local spacetime continuity where a single fragment of local time is repeated, ad infinitum. Time outside the anomaly continues at its normal rate. Minor variations within a temporal loop are not only possible but likely to multiply as the cycle repeats. This potential for variation presents an opportunity to escape the confines of the loop once detected. The only known method of escaping a temporal causality loop is to identify what action causes the local time fragment to repeat and devise a method to pass that information to yourself during the next iteration of the loop.
