Nakamura Reizo

Lord Nakamura Reizo, the Frozen Lord, resides in the northernmost region of Dewa. His lands and castle abut the vast, mountainous beech forests to the north [the modern-day Shirakami-Sanchi forest]. The Nakamura clan is thought to be the eldest in the region, having battled Emishi and Ainu for centuries. Like his superior, Lord Abe Sotatsu, Lord Nakamura routinely campaigns with Governor Kiyohara Noburo in neighboring Mutsu province. Lord Nakamura has a reputation for being as brutal as the terrain where he lives, dealing violently with bandits and Ainu. Lord Nakamura has a wife, Nakamura Saya, and three daughters, Keiko, Akemi, and Chisaki.
Nakamura was slain in battle in the winter of 721 by Lord Ishimaru Katsurou in a siege on his castle adjacent to Kokayo village.
