Kronin Imperium

The Kronin Imperium is a TL12^ militaristic space empire located approximately 20 parsecs from Phoenix Domain space.
In 4474 an exploratory mission from the Domain encountered a Kronin ship. Four years later in 4478 a diplomatic envoy with military escorts was sent to make contact with the Kronin. The fleet was destroyed and the Domain was warned not to venture into Kronin space. The Kronin transmitted basic information regarding their territory and warned that any incursion by humans into Kronin space would be considered an act of war.
Kronin Society
The Kronin are tall, hairless humanoids with elongated skulls featuring nose and ear slits that do not protrude from the head. Their pupils are vertical, like a cat's. Their limbs end in six digits. Kronin average between six and seven feet tall. Their skin bears a metallic tint, from silvery white to leaden gray to reddish or golden bronze.
The Kronin are a militaristic society governed by strict adherence to a code similar to ancient chivalry. Their society is devoted to the perfection of the military arts and sciences. Both men and women are trained in martial arts. Kronin women may serve in the military unless they are child-bearers.
Kronin are fearless in battle, dedicated to the utter destruction of their enemy. They are fiercely loyal to their military unit and comrades, and any insults or defeats will be avenged. Their warrior code forbids the use of aggressive force against non-warriors except in cases of self-defense. Kronin are expected to keep their word and be honorable in all dealings. There are also a number of ceremonial rules and laws, as well as a complex system of military courtesy. All breaches of the warrior code are punishable by death.
All Kronin are natural telepaths. Kronin warriors are trained in the use of combat psi.
Slavery is known to exist within the Kronin Imperium. The source of slaves, whether captives in combat or subjugated populations of other worlds, is not known.
Kronin Military
Kronin starships are streamlined vessels with hull designs based on three-dimensional geometric objects, such as octahedrons and pyramids.
