Itsu Toshimura

From GURPSworld Wiki

Itsu Toshimura is the name of a reality game show contestant who was killed and eaten by a tiger in 2024.

In January 2024, Toshimura was selected as a contestant on the reality game show, Wild World. On the show, contestants work together to survive the rugged wilderness while also competing in feats of strength, dexterity, intellect, and will. Contestants may operate as a group, teams, or as individuals to reach a variety of pre-determined goals.

During the progress of the adventure, Toshimura decided to leave the group and attempt to reach the next series of goals on his own. Several days passed before the group was scheduled to meet at location for one of the group competitions. His absence was noted by contestants, but satellite monitoring suggested Toshimura was still active. Producers decided he had “gone rogue,” a phenomenon known to occur with some Wild World contestants.

When Toshimura’s GPS locator ceased transmission shortly before the conclusion of the series, a rescue team was organized and discretely inserted into the competition area. The team located traces of Toshimura’s clothing as well as his backpack, which was torn and bloodied. Though no further physical evidence was recovered, it is presumed Toshimura was killed by one of two tigers thought to be on the island.
