Fujiwara Toshiro

Fujiwara Toshiro (b. 668, Sakurai) is a lord in the Sakurai Fujiwara clan, based in Yamato province near the capital. He is the father of Fujiwara Hisaka, the uncle of Fujiwara Nao, and was a friend and ally in battle of Ishimaru Takanobu. He is known to be shrewd and unforgiving, though it is said he always had a soft spot for his eldest daughter, Hisaka. He is a devout Buddhist and believes the future of the Empire must be guided by Enlightenment.
