Not even Commies themselves really know much about historical communism, which was a dead doctrine long before Year 1 of The City. Academically-inclined Commies have attempted to reconstruct communist doctrine from the few sources they have been able to find, but most Commies have little idea what it’s all about.

We cannot win and survive by mere wishful thinking or by dreaming. We must prepare fully. We must mobilize with adequate might. We must determine to win. We must dedicate ourselves until the menace of Communism is eradicated.
