Caissa Chess Club

The Caissa Chess Club was founded in 1945 by author L. Ron Hubbard and occultist Jack Parsons. Located at 7051 Hollywood Boulevard, the club enjoys office and gaming space donated by one of its wealthier members. The club has a surprisingly large membership and a number of celebrities have been know to visit the tables. Various membership levels accord privileges that include tutoring from grand masters and private games with celebrities and other public figures. In 1950 the club famously auctioned a private game with rising starlet Marilyn Monroe.
