All-Faiths Decree of 1291

Declared by King Conan I in 1291, this royal decree lifts the previous ban in the kingdom of Aquilonia on all forms of worship other than Mitraism.

Though King Conan himself openly acknowledged Mitra as supreme deity after taking the throne, this declaration was seen by all to indicate his remaining loyalty to other gods and a belief that all gods are equal.

Following the decree, there was a small riot of Mitraists who seized control of the temple in Old Tarantia. The are now commonly known as "the radicalists" and are the center of opposition to non-Mitra faiths.

In recent years a number of new temples have been built to various gods, and those old temples that survived destruction have been re-established throughout Aquilonia.
