Royal House

The House of Selassie is the Royal House of the Kingdom of Mankind, the Kingdom of the Universe. The reining monarch, King Haile Selassie II, resides at the Zion Colony in The Castle. The King has numerous children, cousins, nieces and nephews, and other relatives, and the House of Selassie today comprises some 200 individuals. The largest concentration of the House of Selassie resides in The Castle, with other concentrations residing in the King's and Queen's Galaxies. Several other members serve as galactic administrators or in high ranking corporate positions throughout the universe.

The House of Selassie came into power in the Orion Wars in the 25th century. Following a series of treaties and consolidations in the ensuing centuries, a monarchy was established, and Haile Selassie II has served as the King of the Universe ever since. The former Queen of the Universe, Venus Jimenez, perished at the Opal Colony in the Queen's Galaxy in year 8,878 during the Guardian Uprising.
