A chapter of the club known as "the Kali-Fornian Chapter" is located in Los Angeles. It is thought to be headed by Freddie Gumm and uses the Caissa Chess Club of Los Angeles, located in the Scientology Author and Editorial Services building. The Caissa Chess Club was originally started by L. Ron Hubbard and Jack Parson in 1945.
